REVIEW: AMDT stimulates communication among dance movement therapists and administrators. It promotes the use of dance movement therapy, liaises with other arts therapies organisations and maintains a list of practitioners. There are special interest groups and a quarterly newsletter (open to members and non-members). AMDT has been involved in ensuring that training courses fit with the Criteria for Registration to the organisation. Practitioners are urged to join ADMT as a preliminary part of the move towards state registration. The website is informative although there is only limited information on the work groups and on oppotunities for sharing practice within the community (April 2002).
