Complete Guide to the Alexander TechniqueSite of the month 07/03
REVIEW: Alexandertechnique.com claims to be a guide to all information on Alexander Technique - both on and off line. Such claims are not uncommon on line but here there is certainly evidence that the site has a significant place on line. Alexander On-line provides email discussion lists, notice-boards, an on-line tutorial, articles and introductions to the Technique. The site benefits from including many resources within the alexandertechnique.com site, which means that links are unlikely to fail, unlike all too many other lists of links to links. There are opportunities to email queries, find teachers locally and to engage in the broader ideas that frame the Technique. There is also a broad range of links on relaxation, massage, posture and breathing. This site is a service of Alexander Technique Nebraska, the Ontario Centre for the Alexander Technique and Robert Rickover, a teacher working in Nebraska. Reviewed March 2002, by Stuart Andrews.

Direction: A Journal on the Alexander TechniqueSite of the month 09/03
REVIEW: The website has a number of articles that can be read free of charge, together with details on subscription. The next issue of the Journal is planned for June 2002. The site includes ‘Freemail’: a global on-line AT community moderated by Paul Cook, Managing Editor of Directions - this includes a number of free on-line articles. Other areas are a movement directory (of practitioners); a developing bulletin board; web links; International F. M. Alexander Congress papers; links to join public and a teachers’ list; a sample issue and details of forthcoming editions. There is a search facility on the homepage; the site is easy to access; there is also a sense of community developing and the journal encourages comments and participation, either directly or on its bulletin board and Freemail service.
