Sonic Arts Network

A UK-based world-wide sonic art community. The Sonic Arts Network, founded in 1979 as the Electroacoustic Music Association, supports and promotes creative work in experimental and electronic sound. Through its involvement with events, education and information, SAN has a unique and diverse role in the UK sonic art community and related interests worldwide.
The site includes details of current events and initiatives, CDs available for purchase, an electronic mailing list, and a very useful membership directory with contact details and links to sites. Some online articles are also available to download. The beauty and clarity of the site make it a pleasure to browse.

Founded in 1995, Sonic State is now firmly established as one of the top ten destinations for musicians online" (Sonic State website). An important feature of the website is its user contributions; the Synth Site section for example is one of the most comprehensive synth review sites.
