Biography
Lisa's main responsibilities with PALATINE involve liaison and networking with the people who fund our work and the people who make use of our services. She was part of the Lancaster team that bid to host PALATINE in 2000, having previously been the coordinator of the national Computers in Teaching Initiative Centre for Music, based in the Music Department.
Lisa's interest in e-learning has included long-term involvement with the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and the European Knowledge Media Association (EKMA), now part of the European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning (EFQUEL). She has undertaken
theoretical work on evaluation methodologies for e-learning materials and is currently managing three projects in Second Life and keeping a watching brief on the uses of mobile and wireless technologies such as iPods, and social networking like FaceBook for educational purposes.
She has edited the journal Musicus, co-edited a book on evaluation in e-learning, and has served on the editorial boards of a number of international journals in interdisciplinary studies in music, technology, computing and education.
She keeps in touch with her discipline by being active as a composer of electroacoustic music.
